My wedding is 6 weeks away... what kind of flowers should i hold? also should it be natural or artificial?
Real flowers are nice for the day, but starts to die before the end of the festivities.

Unless you have them pressed in a frame by a professional, you just throw them away.

I had artificial flowers. It looked just as nice, and best of all, I can put it in a clear plastic bag and put it on display, forever.
Reply:My bouqet was artificial and I kept it a long time. My mom made it. Depends on what you want. Real are beautiful but they'll die.
Reply:Wish you all the best!

Natural, no doubt.

Light-colored roses (or wild roses) , like champagne, pale pink or pale yellow, would do;)
Reply:I carried and arm bouquet of long white Calla Lillies, real. I threw a fake bouquet that I purchased at the crafts department. The real one died of course, but now on my anniversary my husband tries to replace the bouquet as a symbol of the renewal of his love for me. It was not something you would see everyday for a bride to carry an arm bouquet, but I loved the flowers and everyone else does roses and daisies. Your flowers should reflect you and your tastes.
Reply:Whatever your favorite flower is. It's your day, you should have what you want. And it should be natural.
Reply:ask the guy u r gettin married to its ur combined day
Reply:I agree, they should be your fav flowers. I chose pink lillies that were artificial, so i could keep it forever and looking like the day they did when we got married. Good Luck
Reply:traditional red roses.

its very formal and red looks wonderful when your wearing a suite.
Reply:Natural! theres nothing like the real thing, you can have them pressed for eternity.....colour should co-ordinate with your wedding theme and dress....good lUck
Reply:Natural looks so much nicer...but artificial is more economical. My solution was to use a combination of the two. I like roses. Pick a rose in your favorite color. I had pink roses at my wedding!
Reply:I think the combo of silks and real flowers is a good idea. Certain real flowers can be very pricey, especially if they're not in season and have to be shipped in from across the world. Tulips are in season now, and they're gorgeous and inexpensive. Good luck.
Reply:Since it's your day then you should have exactly what you want and what you think will look the best with your dress. Personally I'm marrying in May also and I've done all my own florals for my wedding to cut costs and I've used silks because I want to keep them afterwards. Today's market offers a wide variety of natural looking silks that you can choose from.

But then again, there is nothing more beautiful than fresh cut flowers, whether it be in a traditional bouquet or a gorgeous fresh cut arm bouquet. Something as simple as going to Walmart or Winn Dixie and picking out different flowers and wrapping the stems with raffia and covering with ribbon can produce a breathtaking bouquet to compliment any blushing bride!

Have fun and best of luck for a wonderful wedding day!
