How do you create permanent liquid for artificial plants?

Does any one know how to create the illusion of permanent liquid when creating an artificial plant arrangement?

The ones they sell already made are quite pricey, so i wanted to make my own arrangement with silk flowers, rocks, and permanent water... Please help, Thanks

Water in a vase with a few drops of mineral oil will prevent the water from evaporating. Is that what you mean? RScott
Reply:It's actually a little more difficult to achieve than you would think. What looks like fresh water is actually a clear resin that when hardened makes your silk flower arrangements look like fresh-cut. Your best bet is to get a Liquid Illusion Flower Resin Kit. Here's a great website where you can get it: http://www.misterart.com/store/view/003/...
Reply:Hobby stores (Michael's or Hobby Lobby) sell liquid acrylic to use for this purpose. I made a flower arrangement 10 years ago in a clear glass vase with this, and people still think the flowers are real!!
