Is this a interesting science project question"do flowers grow better in sunligt or artificial light?
How many times are you going to ask the same question. If you want a detailed explanation, your best bet would be to research it on the internet.

Good luck!
Reply:Very interesting science project question. Most greenhouses use light generated by the Metal Halide bulb, which requires a special ballast type socket. Metal Halide's have a full light spectrum that is very close to real sunlight, but, depending on which plants you want to grow, they can provide to much illumination. Plants that grow in full sun respond to Metal Halide lamps. Some use 500 watts, and some use 1000 watts, but there are halides down to 100 watts. I do not recommend these low wattage lights for growing.

There are also full spectrum 'fluorescent' grow lamps, of different lengths, but many require a special fixture. They can also be kept very close to the plants as they are considered as 'cold light'. They also, usually use less energy. They require special timers, different from those you would use with incandescant lamps, because of how the ballast starts the lamps.

As to whether they grow better inside or outside; this depends upon your attention to the details of the plants daily existence. How much fresh air they get, how well watered they are, and whether you keep down the various predators that can really take over in greenhouses, like spider mites, and mealey bugs, as 2 examples. Controling the humidity and air flow are 'super important', also green houses can become very hot. It is very important to determine well ahead of time, whether planted inside or outside, what type of sunlight the plants require to grow and also flower; as an example, shade plants, can be full shade or partial shade and plants that love sunlight may require a certain amount of shade. If you are growing outside, make sure that the plants are of a local variety. Also the amount of rainfall, especially if it is excessive, can affect how they grow.

Plants are living things, so there is much to consider.
Reply:do your own damn homework!

and quit posting the same thing!
Reply:Depending on what grade level you are looking at having it for a science project. I think it would be a pretty good one for a low level grade. To do this effectively make sure that you use the same seeds and keep every thing the same except for the light.
